Silence Would Be Treason

Ken Sarawiwar led nonviolent protests against oil extraction in the Delta. He wrote a lot about his own people, the Ogoni tribe, who are deeply affected by the spills. His poem Silence Would Be Treason refers to the agony of trees dying and playing on the sound of Ogoni and Agony. It's quite simple, but not simplistic; it really hits you.
