How Endurance Athletes Differ From Traditional Team Sport Athletes in Strength Training Needs
The biggest thing that sets them apart is the amount of volume that they place on their bodies within their sport. endurance athletes don't have traditional seasons as we see it in team sports. They're training for races that can last hours. And so, you know, anytime you're spending a lot of time in one position or doing one specific type of movement, it's going to pull the body out of balance. It's not like an NFL player who's playing for maybe two to 10 years and potentially two to 15 on high end teams. We really need to take care of their bodies along the way.
