Sometimes it's not feasible to find a close formed solution for that hazard. And there the value of implementing the integrated version of the hazard is very low. Having the flexibility to implement those circumstances directly can be very powerful. So if you can do it, the integrating with a close formed solution is better, but it's not possible in all circumstances.
