By emprovising, me, instead of playing the notes in order, you know, d, e, f sharp and so forth, you play them out of order. You can think of it in different boxes. Sometimes i'll improvise sixteent notes ind d major, all in third position for like three minutes. Or or sometimes maybe i'd improvise just on one string for a few minutes. And that's how i think about practising as well. An and ya cashe said something once that reminds him of what you're describing. He said once that he doesn't practise what he's going to do on stage so much as he practises things that he might do
