Blackstone Real Estate Investment Trust - A New Asset Class
The Blackstone real estate investment trust is getting a gigantic multi-billion dollar, a four billion dollar cash infusion from the University of California system. The shares don't trade publicly and so none of us can buy shares in it; that's for the boys. So all that's to say is that with this downturn in the tech market, with a stark turn towards like debt financed, debt focused deals, I'm just going to quote a little bit from the Financial Times had a really good article titled Silicon Valley startups race for debt deals and funding crunch.
