Introduction

March 2023 was the biggest month ever for ransomware. EVALPHP is an outdated legit WordPress plugin but it's being used to compromise websites by injecting stealthy Trojans onto the site. The CLOP gang exploited that vulnerability to steal data from 130 companies in just the first 10 days of the month. We address the challenges facing CISOs through our guest interviews, including former and active CISOs.
