How to Build a Strong Parent-Child Relationship

The conditions necessary for a strong parent child relationship are similar in terms of what's needed. What's going to differ, Kim, is what's required of a parent depending on their child reading circumstances and the characteristic of the child. For children who are easy temperament, meet schedules, they're compliant, cooperative, they're emotionally regulated it will be fairly easy to pull that off. When you have a challenging child, you have to be more intentional and conscious and explicit about what you're trying to do.
