Canadian neuroscientist Doreen Kimura is a prominent figure in the field of lateralization or handedness. She did studies using what was called the Dicotic Listening Task. When we present information to both ears at once, our dominant ear tends to be the one that hears it. For example, most people are right ear dominant, whereas some other people are left ear dominant.
