The EU hydrogen strategy aims to drive down the cost of producing green hydrogen in Europe, currently between 2.5 and 5.5 euros per kilo. The working assumption for EU electrolyzer capacity in 2050 is no less than 500 gigawatts. Goldman Sachs breathlessly predicts an addressable market for green Hydrogen in Europe, worth 2.2 trillion euros per year by 2050. We'll be talking more about that in part 2 of this two-parter.
