The Relevance of Race-Based Affirmative Action

Major: I want to try and draw a couple of different distinctions. One view is that we should compensate those that have suffered a disadvantage as individuals. The other one, the race-based affirmative action proponent wants to say, well, we could do this individualized exercise but race is a sufficient proxy for disadvantage. So let me take each of those lines of argument in turn.
