The Story of John B. Bibbs

John bibb was the son of richard bibb, a slaveholder in virginia. His father freed 29 of his slaves and sent them to liberia. Heha, during his late lifetime, given away both lettuce and seeds. And subsequently, area farmers had started growing limestone lettuce for themselves. The greenwine greenhouse of louisville was the first to sell the lettuce with the name bib to it.
