I always imagined cinema to be the at that time certainly to be the poorer cousin of going to the theatre. Posh people went to the theatre and I thought I couldn't assume that cinema became much more of a working-class activity. Once you start getting specialist showings and you don't need as much live performance to back it up then the price can come down. So about 1910 when you are getting specialist cinemas the price is coming down from say sixpence to a shilling which it could be early on down to nearer threatens to sixpence.
