Esahadon's Exile From Nineveh
The death of senacharib sent shock waves across the whole region. Esahadon gathered an army and marched out to meet his treacherous brothers in battle. On the eve of the first battle, the soldiers of the brothers deserted on mass unwilling to fight for the men who had murdered the old king. The south wind blew the breath of ea, the wind whose blowing is favourable for exercising kingship.
