We usually wore either a green eye liner, which was made from copper, or black made from lead. We'd take those minerals from the earth and mix them with either vegetable oil or animal fats before putting it on our face. Animal fat your face, don't judge. It's very moisturizing. And our eye make up was helpful too. Because we were in the desert, the sun would reflect off the sand, and it could be really hard to see sometimes.
