What Is a Rolando and Bennett Fracture?

Anton: Rolando and Bennett fractures result from the thumb being pushed down onto the trapezium, particularly the metacarpal. The position of the thumb at the point of impact depends on where the load got taken; is it really in the long axis? How aligned was the base of the first meetingacarpal against the trapeziam? Anton: Both the Bennet's and a Rolando are surgical cases, but in the emerge, we can reduce them. So if you're an older patient with subluxation or osteoarthritis, this may be your time to go.
