Are American Slaughter House Workers More Dangerous Than the Average American?
American slaughter house workers are three times more likely to suffer serious injury than the average American worker. On average, there are two amputations a week involving slaughter house workers in the united states. A largest meat producer in america, on average, one employee of theirs is injured, m nd, is amputated, either a finger or limb per month. In a report by ox fam America, slaughter house workers were observed not being allowed breaks, often required to wear dipers and paid below a minimum wage.
