Sumerian Kingship - Lugo Zagase

There were multiple city states in existence in mesopotamia at the time. The passing of governants was passed from one city to another. Each city appeared to have its own deity, and as such had a temple complex incorporated within the city. It was clear that the states of suma were very much competing with each other for the spoils of supremacy over the others. One particular city that suffered heavily at the hands of lugal zagasy was lagash who both had a history of battling for the same local lands.
