Emmanuel sar is the regional director for brook, a charity focusing on the value and needs of donkeys world wide. He's based in senigal, but spoke to us from a research trip to becana fasso. Some of the distressing scenes i saw in lamu may have been a surprise to me, but unfortunately, they are repeated across many parts of the globe. Why does an animal which has so much value often suffer such neglect?
