Freud's Paradox of Emotion Versus Reason

I applaud anyone who has a theory of how the brain might work, even if it's wrong. I think what brain research lacks at the moment is we haven't got enough theory. And I think that Freud did a great service for providing a theory. But one of his failings was he never did any systematic experiments on all these phenomena. He should get enormous credit for helping me understand this paradox of emotion versus reason.
