The Last Time the Kings Made the NBA Finals
The last time the Kings were really relevant in the NBA playoff conversation was in 2002 when Chris Weber and the Kings lost in six games to the Lakers. The person that touched me the most was Jason Thompson, who I think is this franchise's leader in either franchise or Sacramento era minutes played. And just seeing a guy who was there throughout like the worst of the lean years, sitting court side celebrating the team was oddly touching because it's one thing to show up. But to have someone like that still feel like a connection towards this franchise that gave him a career but probably led to a lot of frustration and pain was weirdly moving.
