SGLT2 Inhibitors Cause Diabetes and Euglycemic Ketoacidosis in Patients With Type 1 Diabetes

Euglycemic ketoacidosis is a rare but serious complication of type 1 diabetes. Patients with type 2 can get decay, but largely it's at new, it's at onset. Elevated blood glucose is the primary biomarker of life-threatening insulin deficiency for people who live with type 1. Some patients may have depleted glycogen because they're not fully fat adapted and will have very little carbohydrate in their intestines.
