In 1965, Orville Bowman found the perfect hybrid kernel that popped with more volume and flavor. He worked full time on a regular job but still found time to develop what he felt was the perfect popping corn. By 1970, Easy Pop and Jiffy Pop had become a sensation. The key to Orville red and bocker success was Orville himself, the charismatic farmer who wore an oversized bow tie.
