The Dynamic Character of Roman City Houses
Roman city houses are primarily about being inside and looking out of like their kind of gardens. They use this kind of string of courtyards as both a sort of circulation and a hierarchical principle in the plan. And if it's very defensive, it can be like the palaces of Florence. Which really feel kind of very castle-like which is the generation before.
