Tourists feed skewers of grapes to local northern bohemian rock anas. But these grapes are much higher in sugar than the reptiles typical fare. In humans, a high antake of sugar can lead to health problems including diabetes. Scientists wondered whether the bohemian lizard's sugary diet could give them the aguana equivalent. To find out, they gave sugar water to 16 captive green aguanas every other day and also measured the blood sugar levels 113 northernbohemian aguanas. As predicted, the reptiles fed on sugar water or grapes had a reduced ability to regulate the sugar in their blood.

To find out if this switch from face-to-face meetings came at a cost to creativity, a team compared the number of ideas generated by workers collaborating either online, or in-person. They showed that people meeting virtually produced fewer creative ideas than those working face-to-face, and suggest that when it comes to idea generation maybe it’s time to turn the camera off.
