Are Feedback and Firing Conversations Separated?

Someone told me once that you should always have feedback and firing conversations separately. I was thinking about someone as you shared that Cody, and I don't think I've ever said this before. Tell me, tell me, is that wise? Does that feel right to you? Fiery conversations and feedback. Oh, oh, oh, yeah, like performance feedback. Yeah. Because they're two different things.
