Will People Play 2D Games in a VR Headset?

I think what's really interesting is I see a lot of like ideas where you can take the death buffer that games already have from 2D games, like the tell where things are close to your not. That would be pretty interesting. Maybe we can use phobiated rendering with it and then it might get to a point where it's like you're gaming in 2D, but it looks so much better than if you were using a display because phobiate rendering is double-y.
