Are You Holding Someone Morally Responsible?

Sometimes when we hold people morally responsible, we think that they should be punished for what they've done. And these ideas are closely linked ith with rewards and punishments as well. So in unfortunate cases of injustice, someone can be punished for something that they didn't do. Or you could fail to convict the right person, and the guilty person could be out there, blameworthy, but not being held to account. They don't line up perfectly, unfortunately. But i might praise a my kids for their good behaviour without thinking they're actually praiseworthy for it.
