Artemis has an experiment to test long-term impacts of galactic cosmic radiation. Only 24 people have spent even a brief time exposed to this kind of radiation. Radiation can damage cell parts, even DNA. biosentinal is going to be launched from Artemis's rocket into an orbit around the sun.

NASA just launched the Artemis program, a series of missions that will eventually take humans back to the moon, and beyond. But can humans actually survive in space long-term?
