How do you get people to try something new when they're already very familiar and very comfortable with these well worn paths? Well, franklin leonard managed to do just that hollywood. He created the black list of unproduced screen plays that hollywood insiders love the most. Once a script made that list, it made the black list. And then powerful people started to see that there was consensus that this script was actually amazing. Then these previously unsallable projects began getting solt and getting made and winning awarts.
