Dorothy's Life Story

Dorothy parker was born on the lower east side of New York. Her father, a jewish cloak maker, brought her up in an upper class home. As a teen she became fascinated with poetry and began writing for vanity fair magazine. She soon moved to theatre critic where she developed remarkable writing style. In 19 20 crownen shield sat parker down at the plaza hotel and fired her. Robert benchley, in protest, quit the next day. It was the job termination herd round the world or at least cafe society.
