The more you understand people and the more you understand grace, the less personally you take them. It's our failure to live up to any of our virtues or our values that make us human. I think a low anthropology looks at life from the perspective of like the through line that bonds me to you is not our shared values or our strengths even, but it's our shared experience of loss.
