The Serenity Prayer
A migration is a referendum on the place that people are leaving, she says. "She was not one to dwell on what might have been" The Great Migration wasn't as well known as it otherwise could have been because families didn't want to burden their children with what they had suffered. She lived what was called the serenity prayer and never looked back.
