Bitcoin - The Only Way to Mine New Coins
There is no physical formor location of it, nor a file for specific bitcoin. Multiple copies of each block exist, but nobody has to have them all. The system keeps running because the only way to mine new coins is to keep those legers. This amounts to a huge computation race to get that next coin.
