The transformer is now being used for things besides natural language. For example, open ae trained a generative model where you could give it even a nonsensical text input and it'll create several pictures that really do look like an avocado in the form of a chair. It's very cereal. So they called it dolly, after salvador dolly, the cerealist painter.
