The first entrance of psychodelics into mainstream culture is told in the autobiography of a being ramdas, who started off as a harvard psychology professor. He was friends with albert hoffman, who synthesized ellis d for the first time. And he eventually came to the conclusion that those substances could not take him where he wanted ultimately to go. That sent him on a path of Hindu mysticism and trying to find a teacher.
