The Origins of Natural Rights

When Thomas Jefferson did the original draft of the Declaration of Independence, he said that we hold these rights sacred and undeniable life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. And then it was also added that that these rights were endowed by their creator - a God who created nature. So in the Christian tradition, yes, natural rights are grounded in creation and in the God who has create in our Creator.
