Film Review: Fast Times
The film's largely negative reviews complained that the movie wasn't nuanced enough in its depiction of sex. But amongst real teens, the movie became an organic word of mouth hit. For many home viewers of fast times, the good part was the scene in which kates unbuckles her backine top in slow motion. Though that scene, in context, clearly means to criticize the older boy's masterbatory phantasy.
