The Benefits of Frontal Lobotomy
In the 1930s, surgeons took two chimps and performed frontal lobotomies. They said that this had altered the mental capacities or specifically altered the behaviors of these chimps. This type of surgery didn't happen again for another 40 ideas until the early 1900s. In just one year, an individual called Freeman in the States performed over 200 frontal lobotomie in 1942,. He was so impressed with that he bought a Volkswagen camper and started traveling around the U.S. performing lobotomies to whoever he thought needed it.
