The Importance of Having a Good Map

The big lesson here from the nail salon is adding more may seem like a benefit. But when it doesn't have a useful map, so the chooser can compare one to the other, adding more options can cause harm than good. Many of my clients have product-based businesses, everything from jewelry organizers to weighted blankets. The advice I give them is to consider what they present from the mind of their consumer. If there are options to choose from like color, size, shape, texture, or something else, what would most customers care about first? Think back to the menu: broad categories of drinks, appetizers, and entrees need to come first before dividing within the section.
