The Ascension of Jesus

A meal is universally understood as the most welcoming and joyful thing we human beings do. In every culture, a meal together is a sacred space of joy. The disciples raise their expectations of hope and invite joy in to run wild within their hearts. They let themselves get excited about all that this means. And then he's gone again.
