Is There Anything New and Different About Rules?
The pandemic dramatized for us a certain form of rule vertigo, which is receive rules quite stringent rules and rules urged upon us with great firmness every week. And I think that when rules are not allowed to settle into a kind of habitual normalcy rules in general, begin to wobble they begin to lose their hold. But by and large in negotiating our way through the social world we had hearing to rules in the main what keeps us on the straight and narrow is each other.
