Improving the Management of Instability in the Pelvic Injuries
Pelvic injury is a significant cause of morbidity and mortality. A good assessment of the pelvis is absolutely vital to picking up these injuries. An application of a binder to a pelvic injury in someone who's hemidonic and stable can make a real difference to our patients. Don't forget tranexamic acid and again other related injuries. Reboa, whilst not available to all of us, is something that may be indicated in a subset of these patients. Consider interventional radiology for those with active arterial bleeds who aren't going for a laparotomy for other reasons.
