The Genetic Component of LDL Cholesterol Levels

We do LDL cutoffs at below 90. Apo B is not routinely measured, people don't go by specific cutoffs on a bopo B in terms of whether to start medications or intensify your exercise. So if you're looking at a target of 100 milligrams per deciliter in terms of being reasonable LDL, then your apo B should also be less than that. And we know that people who have low levels of this enzyme based on their genetics because they have a knockout of something, et cetera, tend to have lower LDL cholesterol levels.
