New York City offers statistics on a fifth grade math and reading scores. 80 % of thev ration in in fifth grade mathan reading scores was attributable to the socio economics of the school, not the teachers. If students are doing well, ya, 80% of that variation is is attributable to their socio economic status. And i did some interesting work along those lines about 25 years ago. In fact, this is going to blow your mind when i tell you this. And i should have published these results. I don't know why i didn't. This is really ground breaking stuff i'm about to share.
