The Philippines has been and I probably I think still is the holy grail of bird exploration for any ornithologist just because of species diversity there. Hachiska went there almost as an imperial agent arguably as an imperial agents he has his own collector that Nakamura Yoshio who is a former member of the Kanto army which was you know the Japanese military force helping to patrol the south mentoring railroad lines in first northeast China and then of course they were the ones who helped to well they essentially engineered the plot to take over northeast China and invaded Manchuria in 1931.
