Sherp Noble was born in 1908 in Clemens, Iowa. By 1938 he was running three ice cream parlors south of Chicago. He promoted an all-you-can-eat for 10 cents sale on August 4, 1938. The first Dairy Queen in Canada opened its doors in Saskatchewan in 1953. Two years later, there were over 2,600 locations across Canada and the US.
