My family immigrated from Poland. I'm first generation. They wanted me to speak English because they were so proud that they came here. So I feel for that whole story. Is there anything interesting on the German side and how both of your parents made it to Texas? Because that's where you grew up, right? Well, since you asked, my mother grew up in south Texas and she is a product of English and in German immigrants to the United States. And the Vietnam War first broke out being a poor girl from a small town. She ended up going and becoming a civil servant at Lackland Air Force Base. All Air Force basic trainees still train through Lackland Air force
