Capitalism is great at producing things, but it sucks at distributing them in an eqable way. It really seems to be mainly an issue of distribution over production. There is no fine dividing line between slavery and capitalism. In fact, may people argue that you could not have capitalism as it exists to day without imperialism and genecite and without slavery. The rest of the value of their labor becomes part of capital and used by the capitalists to make more money.
