We know that worsening climate change is correlated with an uptick in children being pulled out of school and being married off early. Child marriage becomes a coping mechanism, essentially. What about gender-based violence? Does that also have a correlation? There is growing evidence to demonstrate that there can be an uptick of it with worsening climate change. The differentiated impacts may be less obvious and it may be different than those in developing economies.
