A lot of it is kind of a semi-biographical ode to Ocarman's mother who survived Auschwitz. That implication is there subtextually, probably through how Ocarman is like portraying this character. As in that the main character would also have been during the war in... No, no. I don't think like Jean Diehlmann is a Auschwitz survivor in the movie. She met her husband after the war. So I'm just trying to calculate what age she would have been.
